Problem and Methodology
This study is investigation of the generally accepted communicative networking process in the use of telefax and internet for "information superhighway" in this cybernetic world of up-dating the information. In the dynamic communicative feedback to the users, communicative impact for the economic contribution to the state, and implications were taken for the communicators' benefit from the source of information to the destination and vice-versa. This is done within the context of universal transmission of information.
Eight hundred student-respondents answered the questionnaire. The respondents were subdivided into two hundred student s from each university of four. The analyses and interpretations of data gathered were done by using frequency counts, weighted means, ranks, and t-test.
Findings
The purposes in the use of telefax and internet in the arrival of information on time, quick, effective, and efficient were attained. For the benefits taken by the users were revealed to be significant in their networking process. They said that networking through fax machine and internet, provided them up-dated information for their needs.
Considering the cultural aspects of transmitting and receiving information, they were able to facilitate international interactions. This interactive communication helped them to be socially confident. They felt to be equipped of values for personality development.
In economic consideration, the communicative impact in the use of these two communication technologies contributed to income of the government. It was further revealed that with these networking processes, national and international investments were promoted. These processes encourage the businesspersons to have access to the immediate contact to the foreign investors.
The most dynamic indications in the use of communication technologies in the dawning of the new millennium were: timely arrival of information, effort-saving, material saving, and money-saving technologies. In this networking, the transmission of information in cybernetic age entailed effective and efficient bilateral communication.
Networking under this system, implies beneficial to the general public in providing up-dated information for personal use. This is significantly useful for personality development. Eventually, will help the communicators to be aware of the modern ways and means in sending and receiving messages. Communicative feedback can be reliable for its immediate response to the needs of the sender. Feedback becomes clear and effective. Business transactions are likewise expedited under this quick way of transmitting messages. The government is also benefited out of this system, because of its contribution to the collection of revenues from the populace. |
